With OnePlus planning to unveil the OnePlus Ace 6T in China later this month, all eyes are already on next year’s flagship compact phone. The brand is expected to launch the compact flagship, expected to be called the OnePlus 15T, in China around March 2026. Ahead of the launch, new details about the device’s screen refresh rate and thickness have emerged thanks to reliable leaker Digital Chat Station.
165Hz Display and 7,000mAh Battery Coming!
The OnePlus 15, Ace 6, and upcoming Ace 6T all featured 165Hz displays. The new leak suggests that OnePlus’s upcoming compact phone, the OnePlus 15T, will continue this trend. The device is said to have a 6.3-inch display and support for a 165Hz refresh rate.
The leaker also added that the device will exceed 8.5mm in thickness. As a reminder, the previous OnePlus 13 was 8.2 mm thick, despite its 6.32-inch 120Hz OLED display and 6,260 mAh battery.
Rumors about the OnePlus 15T’s battery size suggest the device will pack a massive 7,000 mAh battery. With this significant increase in battery capacity, an increase in device thickness is inevitable.
Previous reports have suggested that the OnePlus 15T will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. On the security front, the device will feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. In terms of build quality, the device is expected to feature a metal mid-frame and an IP68-rated body.
In a related development, several more compact flagship phones are rumored to be in the works for the Chinese market, including the Oppo Find X9s, Vivo X300s, and Honor Magic 8 Mini. However, these rivals are expected to use MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500 Plus chipset. The OnePlus 15T’s use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 provides a significant advantage in terms of performance and optimized software, setting it apart from the competition.
